The Bible tells us the truth of who God is. If you want to know more about God and His promises, reading the Bible is your next step.

Just 10 Minutes A Day

Reading the Bible every day can change the rest of your days, and God’s word—the Bible—is the primary way He speaks to us. It’s the absolute best way to discover how to follow Jesus. Reading the Bible will bring you hope, encouragement, guidance, and practical advice on the everyday issues you’re facing. It is relevant to everyone, everywhere, at any time.

When you enter into a relationship with Jesus, it’s important to spend time with Him daily. We do this through prayer and reading the Bible. When we read His word, it’s important that we soak in all that He’s teaching us; journaling is a great way to do that.

“All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness.” – 2 Timothy 3:16

We read the Bible so we can learn more about Jesus and gain practical wisdom for life. If you’re new to following Jesus or have been reading your Bible for years, it can still be a struggle to get into God’s Word. Here are some tips below for studying your Bible.

Questions to ask when reading Scripture
  1. What does the Bible passage say?
  2. What did this passage mean to the original audience?
  3. What does this passage teach me about God and His nature?
  4. How can I live this truth out in my life today?
  5. What verse can I commit to memory this week?

I have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against you. Psalm 119:11

USING a JOURNAL FOR SPIRITUAL GROWTH

Keeping a journal of your quiet time with God can be very beneficial to your growth and maturity as a disciple of Christ. Writing things down while spending time with God can help you slow down and focus. Collecting these writings in a book allows us to look back and reflect on the goodness and faithfulness of God. Use a journal during your time to rewrite verses of Scripture and your response to them. Do not feel compelled to write long paragraphs or even something every day. Do not write for an audience; write for your benefit and as it comes naturally for you.
