Every chapter in the Gospel of John provides a separate portrait of who Christ is and is giving us greater insight into His character and nature. John tells us that Jesus is the one that we need. He is the one who Judges. He is the one with real Power. He is the one who tells us the Truth. He is the one that can give us Eternal Life. Most Importantly, Jesus is God, which means that he and he alone can make good on all of his promises.
